They are collectors. Well, to be fair, we all are, but they are both definitely in more active phases these days of collecting. The pleasure of the hunt, the find, the envelope in the mailbox, and then the joy of holding and sharing and putting into place -- ahhhh.

A photo a day over at Chicken Blog, too.

Another reminder that we really should be neighbors.
Max loves MTG... his college application essay describes how the game helped him through high school, and raised his practical life skills. He hosts regular events with other shy-gamer friends, and anyone even faintly interested in learning. If we could get these guys in the same room... well, we could probably take-off for a few days and no one would notice!

Dean had that sense when he met Max -- that there was a rare kind of connection there and he's remarked over the years how great it would be to live near you all. He introduced the game to a number of floor-mates at school, and was part of some regular gatherings to play.... Yes, we wouldn't see much of them (but we'd hear them laughing!).
