Snowy day

It was one of my super-early to work days, so the snow mostly fell after I was here (fortunately). Ken ended up in the middle of a pick-up truck pile-up on his way to work -- luckily no damage to him, but his car.... Ah well. We'll be just one-more-reason glad to put 2016 behind us.

A photo a day over at Chicken Blog, too.

Oh, no!
This is very distressing. I am glad to hear Ken is not injured, but even the simplest fender benders introduce such a headache of hassles. I am so sorry that this has happened.

I am looking for all the good, hope, success, and joy I can... just to encourage me to keep moving forward. But, yes... this year has been disappointing, surreal, at times brutal. Not entirely, of course, but enough to make it feel distinctly frustrating.

It's not easy, under the circumstances, to feel optimistic about 2017, or any of the next four years, but I hope you and your family, and me and my family, will thrive, will find good, and share good, and stay in touch. If I can hold on to friendships, dreams, ideals, and make plans... well, it goes a long way to making me strong, resilient, and more capable of sharing skills, resources, support, and community, for a greater good. I need you, friend.
