As seasons fleet

Sometimes hath the brightest day a cloud;

and after the summer evermore succeeds

Barren winter, with his wrathful nipping cold;
so cares and joys abound, as seasons fleet.

Wm. Shakespeare
The Second Part of King Henry the Sixth
Act II. Scene IV.

These lines could be my most favorite of all his work.

What a striking image, and what fitting words.
